Anchored ships use no longer diesel as a source for power generation, but rely on the port for power supply. The shore power project in Jiaxing, Zhejiang can reduce pollution emission by anchored ships by a large margin. By 2020, shore power projects in China will cover 50% of cargo, roll-on/roll-off ship and oil tanker wharfs.
